Comic text

In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of the comic:

The Thorsens are sitting around the table having their morning coffee (for Ruth and Noah) and orange juice (for Ursula). Ursula asks Ruth, “This is so unfair! Why do I have to go to school and he gets to stay home?” Noah replies, “I already went to school.” Ursula is skeptical, saying, “When? I’ve never seen you there!” Noah smiles and explains, “I went before you were born.”

Ruth then chimes in, “Your dad has his high school diploma and I have my Bachelor’s in Education.” Ursula muses, “And yet you still go to school for work…” then her eyes widen as she concludes, “So what you’re saying is if I get more education I’ll never escape school?” Ruth says, “No!” while Noah grins and says, “Yep. Quit while you’re ahead.” Ruth growls, “Noah!” Noah then modifies his stance somewhat, adding, “Er… but not til you’re 18.”
