Trying to Break the Time Loop

Noah still feels stuck in a déjà vu cycle and seeks to break out.
The problem with being stuck in a time loop is whatever you think of to break it is exactly what you thought of to break it before… and it won’t work.

Noah still feels stuck in a déjà vu cycle and seeks to break out.

Comic description

In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of today’s cartoon:

Noah is still musing on being trapped in an endless repeat as he sorts the laundry. He picks up Ursula’s purple hoodie and thinks, “And Ursula’s new hoodie… didn’t I buy her this exact same one last back to school?”

His eyes narrow as he broods: “It’s like I can’t escape it. Everything is the same because everything already happened and is predetermined… how am I gonna break out?”

Noah’s face brightens and he grins as he thinks he has an answer. He thinks, “I know! I can do cartwheels in my Easter Bunny outfit!”

We then see Noah doing just that in his pink bunny suit as Agnes scowls and scolds him. “Thorsen! I told you to get off my lawn!!”

Noah is dismayed as the time loop hasn’t broken because, as he says, “Damn it, Agnes… you said that last year!”
