In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of the comic:
Ruth is smiling and talking about returning to her teaching job next week, saying “I’m so looking forward to seeing their eager little faces.” Noah, busy shovelling cereal into his mouth, just mumbles “uh huh.”
Ruth continues “The way they light up when something clicks and they understand.” Noah, busy chewing the last heaping spoonful of cereal, mumbles “mmm hmm.” Ruth then scowls at Noah and says “It would be nice if everyone valued education and knowledge as much as I do.” Noah smirks and says, “Hey, this is educational!”
We now see that Noah and their daughter Ursula are sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of the TV, with bowls of cereal in their laps, while Ruth stands over them. Noah turns to Ursula and says “See, honey, when the rock falls and squishes the coyote, that’s cause of gravity.” Ursula throws her arms up and cheers “yay, gravity!”
