In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of today’s cartoon:
Noah, wearing a white suit and with his hair straightened and slicked back, is in the bathroom finishing up getting ready for one of his band’s wedding gigs. Ursula asks him, “Another wedding, Daddy?”
He replies, “Yep.”
Ursula proclaims, “Weddings are boring, Daddy.”
Noah laughs as he adjusts his blue bowtie (over his bare neck as his shirt is unbuttoned despite the formal occasion, asking, “Oh? How so?”
We see a flashback of a younger Ursula looking miserable in a white dress with a pink bouquet, sitting in a church pew next to Noah and her very pregnant mother Ruth at some wedding they dragged her to last year. Ursula explains, “You have to wear an itchy white dress and sit still and not make faces and the music is a bunch of stupid songs.”
Noah laughs and says, “Hey now: I just sing what the bride pays me to sing!”
