Noah’s arrived home with his boxes of roller skates and Ruth is visibly displeased, asking, “Roller skates?”
He grins and says, “Uh huh. We’ll institute Thorsen Family Saturday Skating up & down the Gorge all summer.”
Ruth remains unimpressed, groaning in response.
Noah continues, “I already ordered Adam & Duke to fetch some skates.”
He pauses and puts his arm around Ruth’s shoulders. “You don’t seem very excited.”
She explains, “I’ve never roller-skated in my life.”
Noah smiles and says, “Oh, it’s easy.”
Ruth rolls her eyes and says, “Easy to break something, sure.”
