Ruth arrives home toting a large canvas painted with flowers. Noah, digging into the fridge, smiles and asks her, “How was your painting class, dear?”
Ruth grins and says, “It was great!”
Then she pauses and looks worried, adding, “But… um… Mom was saying something about you dancing around dressed like a pineapple?”
Noah looks forlorn and asks, “Is that all she said?”
Ruth replies, “Yes, why?”
Noah closes his eyes and puts his hand to his heart, declaring, “I am deeply wounded that your mother didn’t mention my unicycle juggling.”
Ruth rolls her eyes.
