Thorsen Family Paintball Day

(Most of) the Thorsens celebrate British Columbia’s Family Day with a longstanding family tradition.
Ruth doesn’t know what she’s missing… well, I guess she does: getting bombarded by the rest of the Thorsen clan.

Comic description

In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of today’s cartoon:

Most of the Thorsens—Noah, his grown sons Adam and Duke, and Ursula—are all ready to head out while Ruth is clearly staying home with baby Valerie. Ruth looks dismayed and says, “I’ll never understand why you need to celebrate Family Day by shooting at each other.”

Noah smiles and reminds her, “Thorsen Family Paintball Day is a time-honoured tradition.”

Ruth isn’t convinced, saying, “Pfft! Paintball was only invented in 1981!”

Ursula, ever the one to think the 1980s were ancient history, smiles and says, “Exactly!”
