Comic description

In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of today’s cartoon:

It’s the last day of school and Miss Fardemar, Ruth, and the kindergarten teacher Linda are all standing together and talking. They are wearing tropical-print sarongs, leis, and tropical flowers in their hair. Ursula approaches and asks Ruth, “Mommy, how come all you teachers are wearing Hawaii stuff?”

Ruth squirms and doesn’t want to answer the question, but Linda grins and tells Ursula, “So we don’t have to get changed before the big year-end party at Miss Fardemar’s place.”

Ursula smiles in excitement and asks, “Party? Is there gonna be pizza? Can I come?”

Miss Fardemar grins and says, “No pizza. Just tiki cocktails.”

Ruth, still squirming, tells Ursula, “Um, it’s a teachers-only party, hon. But don’t worry, your father will pick you up at dismissal.”
