National Walk to Work Day

Ursula isn't into celebrating Walk to Work/School Day.
It was worth a shot, kiddo, but clearly Noah believes walking builds character.

Why walk when you can be chauffeured? Fake holidays be damned.

In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of today’s cartoon:

Noah and Ursula are standing in the driveway next to the car in the morning. Ursula stands by the rear car door and says, “Daddy, unlock the car.”

He replies, “Naw, we’re walking.”

She then asks, “What’s wrong with the car?”

Noah answers, “Nothing.”

Ursula reiterates, “So unlock it.”

Noah rolls his eyes and says, “Nope, it’s National Walk to Work Day. Or school, in your case.”

Ursula fumes, “But I hate walking!”

Noah isn’t swayed, saying, “That’s nice honey. It’s only 6 blocks.”

Ursula stands her ground, trying a different angle: “Daddy, someone worked very hard to make this car. It would be wrong to not use it.”

This fails, as Noah responds, “Nice try, kiddo. Let’s go.”
