Noah’s face lights up when he spots a display of roller skates, pointing and saying, “Ooh, look, honey: roller skates!”
Ursula is unimpressed, saying, “Meh.”
Noah is undeterred, holding up a skate and smiling as he muses, “We could get roller skates for the whole family and go skating together at the Gorge all summer.”
Ursula asks, “Even Valerie?”
Noah, now laden with three boxes of skates for himself, Ruth, and Ursula, explains, “Well, no; she’s too little. I’ll push her in the stroller.”
This offends Ursula, who yells, “She gets to sit and I have to skate? No fair!!!”
Noah answers, “Well, she is a baby who can’t even walk yet…”
