St. Paddy’s Day 2024

Ursula and Noah continue arguing about possible sports for Ursula to take up, only thanks to the magic of cartooning, today they do it in full “plastic paddy” splendor.
Ursula at least might a couple drops of Irish blood in her via Ruth but Danish Noah really has no business dressing up like a leprechaun.

Happy St. Paddy’s all!

Comic description

In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of today’s cartoon:

A caption at the top of today’s comic reads “We interrupt this scheduled argument about sports to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day:”

Ursula is dressed up in a brightly colored and ornate feis dress (Irish dance competition outfit), complete with giant poofy curly hairdo and crown. She asks Noah, “Daddy, is leprechaun hunting a sport?”

Noah, dressed in his leprechaun outfit—green tail coat, green hot pants, and green tophat—is cradling a hurley (stick for an Irish sport called hurling). He smiles and replies, “No, but have you considered camogie?”

(Camogie being the girls’/ladies’ version of hurling.)
