Noah is packing Ursula’s lunch for one of the last days of school this year. She smiles and asks him, “Daddy, can I call in sick these last couple days of school?”
He replies, “Nope.”
Undeterred, Ursula grins and continues, “But we’re done learning new stuff so I won’t be missing anything.”
Again, Noah says, “Nope.”
Ursula is annoyed and asks, “But why not?” as Noah frowns and hands her her lunch bag.
He thinks, “Because Daddy needs these last few days of playing Mario Kart in peace.” However, what he says is, “Because it’s important for you to participate in your school community right to the end.”
