Noah is talking to his old bandmate Gary, who says to Noah, " So Dave's lost his voice and can't do the show on Saturday. You in?" Noah sighs and replies, "Dunno, Gary. I'd like to, but Ruth hates Marilyn Manson. That's why I had to quit the band." Gary rolls his eyes and says, "Oh, c'mon! Live a little." Noah scowls and says, "Ruth would kill me." Gary sneers and retorts, "You gotta stop letting your ol' ball and chain tell you what to do."Noah rolls his eyes and shrugs his shoulders, saying, "One could say the same thing about my ol' bandmates."

It’s true that Noah and Ruth first met at one of Noah’s old Marilyn Manson tribute band gigs, but it didn’t take long before Ruth put an end to Noah’s Antichrist Superstar impersonation days.

November 23, 2022: Seek & Destroy

Ursula is watching Noah's cover band rehearse in the garage. She interrupts to ask, "Can you guys play 'Seek & Destroy'?" Noah leans down to tell Ursula, "This is Daddy's U2 tribute band, honey. We don't play Stooges songs." Annoyed, Ursula says, "I was talking about Metallica." Confused, Noah scratches his head and asks, "Since when do you like Metallica?" Ursula replies, "Since Duke said he'd disown me as his sister if I didn't agree that the first four Metallica albums are the greatest ever made." Noah is seething and tells Ursula "Duke's not allowed to disown you. Especially since we all know the four greatest albums ever made are '1984', 'Achtung Baby', 'Theater of Pain', and 'Slippery When Wet'... the Japanese version with the original wet t-shirt cover."

Noah discovers to his dismay that he may not be the biggest influence on Ursula’s musical taste.

November 21, 2022: Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad

Noah and his drummer are setting up for rehearsal in Noah's garage. The drummer says, "Pass me the crash." Noah holds up a China crash cymbal and stays, "This one?" The drummer replies, "No, the 14 inch." Ursula enters with a piece of paper and asks Noah, "What's the capital of Saskatchewan?" Noah replies, "Regina," then asks the drummer, "This one?" whilst holding up a different cymbal. The drummer, lugging a rack tom drum, says, "No, the other 14 inch." Ursula then asks Noah, "What river runs through Saskatoon?" Noah, looking through the various cymbals and not really paying attention, answers "The South Saskatchewan River." He then holds up another cymbal and hopefully asks the drummer, "This one?" The drummer, setting up the cymbal stands for his kit, answers, "No, the other other 14 inch." Ursula then asks "What's the highest point in Saskatchewan?" Noah, holding another cymbal and finally paying attention and looking at Ursula, says, "There isn't one, it's all flat... wait, are you doing homework?" Ursula replies, "Not anymore, all done."

Ursula might have gotten a wrong answer from Noah, but at least she didn’t have to bother Googling the answers.
