Boring Grown-Up Saturday Night Stuff

Noah and Ruth were just about ready to start getting frisky on the sofa when Ursula emerges from her room, having decided to argue about her bedtime.
And this is why you send the kids over to Grandma Agnes‘ house on Saturdays.

I think we can see why Ursula only has the one younger sibling.

Comic text

In case of broken image links or accessibility issues with today’s cartoon, here’s the gist of the comic:

Noah and Ruth are sitting on the sofa, looking like they were interrupted from making out when a nightie-clad Ursula enters the room demanding to know, “How come I have to go to bed and you don’t?” Ruth has quickly grabbed her knitting and replies, “Because we’re grown-ups.” Sensing there’s something her parents are trying to hide, Ursula then demands to know, “What are you up to?” Noah replies, “Um… boring grown-up stuff.” Ursula snaps, “Like what?” Thinking quickly, Noah answers, “Um… we clean our room.” Ruth adds, “Yes, and we practice multiplication tables.” Noah then says, “Also, we eat broccoli.”
